Sometimes our biggest obstacle is us. Here are 5 ways to overcome ourselves and self-motivate:


1. Self-reflect on all of your accomplishments. Write them down and savor each one.


2. Accept yourself. No matter where you are starting from, this is you.


3. Be honest with yourself. Write down your challenges and your realistic goals.


4. Try something new. The moment our brains experience new situations, the more they are excited to do more of them.


5. Establish an accountability strategy. Keep yourself in check with a visual chart, a reward system, or a buddy.
